ADRF is a development research/policy research networking management in Asia which emphasizes Southeast Asia, South Asia and East Asia.   From 2002 to 2005, the Thailand Research Fund (TRF)  undertakes ADRF with part of funding support from the International Development Research Centre (IDRC), Canada.

Since ADRF’s establishment in 1997 to 2001, ADRF’s focus has been to strengthen the Policy Synthesis in three main areas : (1) Ageing Asian Populations, (2) Asian Economic and Financial Governance and (3) Asian Conflict Management. Its working group manages each main area.

Under the management of TRF from March 2002, ADRF aims to broaden the areas of the Policy Synthesis. The additional areas under current discussion are; (1) Changing Social Compacts (2) Science and Technology Policy (3) Policy on Education or Learning.
